Hydrafacial® is appropriate for almost anyone since its gentle, glycolic acid and salicylic acid-based treatment works on all skin types, even the most sensitive ones.

Both hydradermabrasion and microdermabrasion improve the complexion by exfoliating, enhancing tone and texture, and promoting collagen production. The primary difference is the mode of action.

Microdermabrasion uses medical-grade microcrystals to essentially “sand away” the surface layer of dead and damaged skin cells. Although this treatment can rejuvenate the skin initially, it is a harsher process that can be damaging to the skin long-term. The abrasive crystals used in microdermabrasion can make the procedure uncomfortable and cause swelling and redness following the treatment. Microdermabrasion isn’t recommended for patients with certain skin conditions, such as rosacea or generally sensitive skin.

Hydradermabrasion is a water-based exfoliating treatment that dispenses water and air at high speed. Rather than using crystals to scrape away impurities, hydradermabrasion exfoliates and resurfaces with a combination of a gentle chemical peel and painless suction. HydraFacials® is an option for men and women of any skin complexion, tone, and age. There are, however, a few restrictions that make treatment inadvisable for some patients. HydraFacials® is not recommended if:

• You have severe cystic acne
• You have an active herpes outbreak
• Active Sunburn
• Active Rash
• Had Aesthetic fillers and injectables within two weeks
• Have been on Accutane within the last 3 – 6 months

There are three different phases during a HydraFacials® treatment. The length of each step and the attachments used depend on your needs and desired outcomes. The staff of Aesthetic Envy will customize your procedure to ensure you receive the best possible experience and results.

• Cleansing and Peeling:The treatment begins with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing. This step opens the pores and sweeps away surface debris and dead skin cells using a suction tip, producing a healthy glow almost immediately. A peel containing glycolic and salicylic acids is then applied to provide further exfoliation benefits while hydrating the skin, brightening pigmentation, and stimulating collagen production.
• Extraction and Hydration:The next step focuses on extraction. The unique Vortex suction technology offers painless, even extraction across the full face to remove closed comedones and other non-inflamed breakouts and impurities. This phase also improves circulation and activates the lymphatic system to encourage drainage. Intense moisturizers are used to quench the skin before moving on to the final step.

  Your HydraFacials® at Aesthetic Envy combines the benefits of professional medical treatment with the rejuvenating ambiance of a spa service. We perform each HydraFacials® in a comfortable and soothing treatment room, complete with tranquil music, soft ambient lighting, and cozy blankets and pillows.

  After your Hydrafacial treatment, you will have some redness on the face that may last up to 2 hours, but you can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment.
